We the People Bingo - New!

We the People Bingo is a fun, interactive activity that deepens students’ understanding of Democratic Principles, the Remarkable People in American History, and the Function of our Government. This version uses pictures and graphics that represent a bingo square.

Instructions and Game Details:

1. Determine if the teacher or a chosen student will be the “Bingo Caller.”

2. Tear off one disposable Bingo Board for each player (for up to 30 students), or create teams for a committee activity.

3. You can cut the “Bingo Calling Slips” and put them in a bowl, randomly picking, or checking the white box after calling each slip so words/slips are not called again.

4. Within the game, three variations may be used:

(A) - Show the picture from a randomly selected “Bingo Calling Slip” (or show photos or graphics that represent each square) and have each player mark it on their Bingo sheet with a crayon, marker, pencil, or a chip (if you plan on reusing).

(B) - Read the clues from the “Bingo Calling Slips,” one at a time, having students mark the correct picture on the sheet based on the clues given.

(C) - If time is short, simply read the square title and have students mark their boards.

5. The first player to clear four (with free space) or five words in any direction (vertical, horizontal, or diagonal) should call out “BINGO” and win. The Bingo Caller should keep track of the slips used to verify that the student has successfully marked the correct box on the Bingo Board.

Pace of Play: The length of a bingo game depends on the number of players participating. The goal is for the game to last 30-40 minutes, at maximum, with a minimum of 4 or 5 needed to match on a board. Develop variations as required.

Contents: Each pad has 30 Disposable, Tear-Off Bingo Sheets (no sheets are duplicated) and 45 Bingo Calling Slips.
